This amazing documentary is being shown on November 11th from 2-5 PM at the Levin Jewish Community Center in Durham. This event is FREE and is open to everyone …. girls, boys, men and women who are at least 14 YEARS OLD. First we will show the 90 minute documentary then we will have a stellar panel including Frank Stasio of NPR to discuss the topic with the audience and strategize about next steps to end sexism in the media!

Please RSVP to help us plan refreshments and handouts. Let’s unite for significant change of this ongoing injustice.. the misrepresentation of girls and women in our country. This affects all of us including boys and men!

As one of the most influential and universal forces of communication in our culture, mainstream media is educating yet another generation that a woman’s primary value lies in her youth, beauty and sexuality—not in her capacity as a leader. Join us for a local screening and discussion at Meredith College on Saturday, October 20th at 4pm.
After the film screening, local leaders will facilitate break-out sessions to provide a platform for discussion of reactions, ideas and solutions that pertain to the issues that affect us here in the Raleigh community.
